Space Junk Of The Day: Today, NASA signaled the highest red alert as it watched a 6 inch chunk of a Chinese satellite, destroyed back 2007 as part of a weapons test, hurdle towards the International Space Station. But luckily, it was just announced that the astronauts aboard do not need to seek shelter in an attached capsule because the hunk of space junk no longer poses a threat to the ISS. Phew.
