Transformers: Dark of the Moon Trailer of the Day: The official Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer has landed on the web like an angry Decepticon, after a few days of still photo teasers from Paramount.
A plot synopsis is also out now, although it describes the story in the vaguest of terms:
When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand.
We also learn from the trailer that the unnamed “event” had something to do with starting the 1960s space race.
Of course, the whole “plot” thing takes a backseat to Michael Bay’s trademark explosions. It’s the last film in the series, so the director might as well blow up both earth and the moon on his way out, right?
