Comcast Cares of the Day: In a rare case of an ISP working with a BitTorrent site, Comcast helped get to the bottom of the problem that was keeping its customers from accessing The Pirate Bay. The company backed up its earlier claims that it wasn’t blocking the site by offering to have its engineers work directly with TPB to solve the problem.
After Comcast checked with Serious Tubes Networks, an ISP that handles transit to The Pirate Bay, they were able to fix the issue just in time for Thursday night TV uploads. Now that’s customer service!
Despite the whole “evil monopoly that’s probably building a secret death star” reputation, it’s possible that, well, Comcast cares.
