Kindle Book Sales News of the Day: Amazon says it’s now selling more Kindle books than physical books. The company is selling 105 Kindle books for every 100 print books, and that includes books that don’t have a Kindle edition.
This is exactly what Amazon wanted. In fact, it’s even ahead of schedule.
“We had high hopes that this would happen eventually, but we never imagined it would happen this quickly — we’ve been selling print books for 15 years and Kindle books for less than four years,” said Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
Kindle sales have tripled since last year, but Amazon won’t release the total number of Kindles or Kindle books sold. We can only assume it’s a very, very big number.
Your future children called. They want to know what a “bookshelf” was.
