Spotify Meets Facebook of the Day: Spotify users could be listening to music via the Facebook sidebar in as little as two weeks, according to Forbes. Facebook and Spotify both deny knowing anything about a new Spotify/FB app, though, so don’t bet any money on this teamup actually coming to pass.
Even if this app is for real, it won’t work for U.S. users, because Spotify still hasn’t secured the music licensing deals it needs to launch in North America. For Spotify’s sake, I hope a Facebook partnership is in the works: Mark Zuckerberg throwing his weight around surely wouldn’t hurt in speeding up the service’s stateside debut.
