Pentagon Cyber Strategy of the Day

Pentagon Cyber Strategy of the Day

Pentagon Cyber Strategy of the Day: The Pentagon’s first formal cyber strategy — due to become public next month — reportedly classifies some kinds of computer sabotage as acts of war.

The document hasn’t been officially released, but according to the Wall Street Journal, it basically says that a serious enough computer attack could count as a “use of force” that would warrant retaliation.

The WSJ also points out that the document leaves some important questions unanswered, like how the origin of a computer attack will be verified, or how severe an attack would have to be before the US would strike back with military force.

The only certain thing is that internet is now officially serious business.
