Anonymous Attacks of the Day: Hacktivists affiliated with Anonymous and Wikileaks took down Mastercard.com this morning. The site is back up now, and an Anon member seems to have claimed credit.
Wikileaks’ official Twitter account posted what may be an explanation for the hack: “The unlawful banking blockade against WikiLeaks in 6th month: The culprits: VISA, MasterCard, PayPal, Bank of America, Western Union.”
Another Anonymous operation is taking aim at Orlando, FL, threatening to DDoS local and city government websites until the city frees Food Not Bombs leader Keith McHenry, who was arrested for feeding homeless people in a public park without a permit.
