Google Takeout of the Day: Getting your data out of Google is a tricky process, but the Data Liberation Front, a team of Googlers building data export tools, is trying to make it easy.
Until now, users have only been able to pull their data from one Google service at a time, but the Data Liberation Front’s new tool, Google Takeout, just changed the game. It lets you export data from multiple Google products at the same time, in file formats that you can easily use with other apps and services.
Right now, Takeout handles Buzz, Contacts, Picasa Albums, Google Profile, and Google Stream, with more options on the way.
