Vatican Web Portal of the Day: With a click from Pope Benedict XVI, the Vatican launched its brand-new web portal, News.va, today.
News.va aggregates information posted “by other Vatican media outlets: the newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, Vatican Radio, Vatican Television Center, the Vatican press office and information service and the Fides missionary news agency,” plus official Vatican Twitter and Flickr feeds.
According to Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, who headed up the site’s creation, it won’t have a specific editorial slant. Other than, you know, being the online news presence of the Catholic Church.
