New Blade Runner Movie of the Day: Director Ridley Scott has reportedly agreed to direct and produce a new Blade Runner film. According to Deadline, it’s not clear whether the new movie will be a sequel or a prequel to the original, and it’s also unclear whether Scott will approach Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Rick Deckard.
These are still the earliest stages of the project. The movie hasn’t been written yet, and Scott still has to wrap up another franchise continuation — his Alien prequel, Prometheus — before moving on to Blade Runner. Prometheus is due out June 8, 2012.
