Life-Changing Airplane Boarding Method of the Day: Fermilab physicist Jason Steffen has created a super-efficient method of boarding planes.
In the “Steffen Method,” alternating rows board at the same time, window seats first. Alternating frees up enough room in the aisle for multiple passengers to store their luggage at the same time.
It turns out that the boarding order airlines use now, starting with the rearmost seats, is less efficient than random boarding. Ouch.
