USA Today Twitter Hack of the Day: A hacker group called the Script Kiddies apparently compromised USA Today’s Twitter account today, using it to post advertisements for the Script Kiddies Facebook page and offering to let users vote on their next target.
USA Today has now regained control of its account, with help from Twitter, and the Script Kiddies’ own Twitter account has been suspended.
The Script Kiddies reportedly include some ex-Anonymous members and have aligned themselves with Operation AntiSec. They’ve previously hacked Twitter accounts belonging to Fox News and NBC News, and used them to tweet fake reports of terrorist attacks.
