Apollo 11 Landing on Google Moon of the Day

Apollo 11 Landing on Google Moon of the Day: YouTuber GoneToPlaid has recreated the Apollo 11 moon landing using Google Moon, putting 2009 Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter images side-by-side with 1969 footage from the Eagle’s movie camera.

Although the images don’t line up perfectly, due to imprecisions in Google Moon’s elevation models, they match up well enough that you can tell you’re looking at the same parts of the moon.
