Follow Up of the Day: The Smoking Gun has posted a police report from the weekend arrest of Seattle-based “real-life superhero” Phoenix Jones, 23 whose real name is Benjamin Fodor. The site also has a picture of Fodor out of costume, from his days as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter nicknamed “Flattop.”
According to the police report, Fodor ran into a group of people who were dancing and pepper sprayed four of them. The costumed vigilante says he was breaking up a fight.
Fodor has been released on bond, but his mask, suit and pepper spray were confiscated as evidence, so it appears Phoenix Jones won’t be on patrol again any time soon.
He’s expected in court on Thursday.
