Steve Jobs Day of the Day: Today is Steve Jobs Day, a day originally planned as a “thank you” to Steve Jobs after he ended his tenure as Apple’s CEO. It has now become a tribute to his life instead.
To celebrate, Jobs fans are meeting up at Apple Stores, donating to cancer research, and even posting photos of themselves in dressed in Jobs’ famous black turtleneck and jeans.
Studiocom, the digital agency behind Steve Jobs Day, writes:
We join with the rest of the world in saying goodbye to an amazing innovator. We launched this project on September 23, 2011 as a thank you to a man whose work has impacted so many lives. In light of his recent passing, we hope that Steve Jobs Day will be celebrated as a tribute to his life and the legacy he leaves behind.
