Rideable Cloud of the Day

Rideable Cloud of the Day

Rideable Cloud of the Day: The Passing Cloud concept vehicle is a cloud-shaped zeppelin made of spherical balloons that travels according to prevailing wind conditions.

The cloud doesn’t have interior seating. Passengers are just meant to sit on top of the nylon-covered steel balloon structure and enjoy a floating sensation.

In terms of safety measures, there’s a low ridge around the edge of the structure to keep people from sliding off, but it’s not clear how the cloud remains upright, particularly with people walking around on it.

You probably don’t want to board the Passing Cloud if you have somewhere to be, either: it has “an open schedule and unknown final destiny.”

But hey, if pesky things like the FAA and physics didn’t exist, this concept could totally work.

More pics after the jump.
