Assassin’s Creed Movie News of the Day: Sony Pictures, the studio that plans to bring Uncharted to the big screen, has just snagged the rights to adapt another popular game franchise: Assassin’s Creed.
Ubisoft will reportedly maintain creative control over the movie, with Sony co-funding the project. The studio seems to be committed to game adaptations of late, snapping up Uncharted and inFAMOUS, and now outbidding Universal for Assassin’s Creed.
Back in March, Ubisoft surveyed gamers to see what they wanted in an Assassin’s Creed movie, and it looks like they’re going to put those opinions to good use.
The project is still in the very earliest stages, so there’s no word yet on when it might be released.
