Spherical Flying Drone of the Day: The Japanese military’s spherical, flying spy drone recently got a public test run in Tokyo.
The drone can hover like a helicopter or speed around at 37 MPH, and its three gyroscopes keep it flying even when it collides with an obstacle. Because it’s round, it can also roll along the ground.
Even cooler, the entire machine was reportedly made from $1,400 in spare parts, and weighs less than a pound.
