Uwe Boll Insanity of the Day: In a documentary about screenwriting called Tales From The Script, BloodRayne writer Guinevere Turner talks about working with notorious “director” Uwe Boll (who has a Rotten Tomatoes average in the single digits).
It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect from the guy who made House of the Dead.
First, Boll cursed Turner out for being two weeks late on the script, and then he put her “nasty, little scrappy” first draft directly into production. He then cut all but 20% of her work, replacing it with his own ideas and some input from the actors.
Turner says BloodRayne “blows” and suggests it might be the worst movie ever made. I guess that’s fair, since she probably didn’t watch any of Boll’s later work after her miserable experience.
