By making sure that the Boy Who Lived, well, lived, they protected us all from He Who Must Not Be Named, and Potter fans on Twitter thought that was worth celebrating with an hour of silence between 3 and 4 p.m. GMT.
The plan apparently worked, because “RIP James and Lily Potter” stopped trending on Twitter during that hour.
