Star Trek Sequel Casting News of the Day: J.J. Abrams has added a Doctor Who actor to the cast of his Star Trek sequel.
Noel Clarke, who played Rose Tyler’s boyfriend, Mickey Smith, during the Ninth and Tenth Doctor eras, has been cast as “a family man with a wife and young daughter.”
Add him to the list of actors whose roles in the film have only been vaguely defined, alongside Alice Eve as a character who is new to the Star Trek universe and Peter Weller as a character who might be a CEO.
The Star Trek sequel opens May 17th, 2013.
