iPad Guitar of the Day: We’ve seen some impressive guitar apps for the iPad, but Ion Audio’s Guitar Apprentice gives Apple’s tablet a full-sized electric guitar body.
According to Ion, “Guitar Apprentice’s strings can be strummed together or plucked individually, and its 14 fretboard-fret buttons mean you can easily play thousands of songs,” and the fretboard includes LED lights you can follow to learn chords and songs.
The device is also compatible with Apple’s Core MIDI, meaning you’ll be able to use it with GarageBand and several other Mac-compatible music apps.
Ion Audio, by the way, is the same company that makes the Piano Apprentice iPad piano tutor.
