New Russell T. Davies Show of the Day: Russell T. Davies, famous for reviving Doctor Who and created Torchwood, has announced he’s taking on a new sci-fi challenge: a CBBC kids’ show called Aliens vs. Wizards.
Davies, who got his start writing for kids’ TV, describes the show as “a wild, funny, thrilling and sometimes scary collision of magic and science fiction.”
According to the NME, it’s about a 16-year-old boy who is secretly from a family of wizards, and ends up teaming up with one of his friends to defend the Earth from a race of alien invaders called the Nekross.
Davies is working on Aliens vs. Wizards with a team from BBC Wales. The show is expected to air in the fall.
