Star Trek Apartment To Be Dismantled of the Day: A UK man who turned his one-bedroom flat into the interior of Star Trek‘s USS Voyager is being forced to dismantle his work by his ex-wife, who owns the place and wants to sell.
Tony Alleyne, 58, says he built the whole interior — including a transporter bay, several LCARS consoles and lighting — from scratch, and it would cost him over $150,000 to do it again.
“To say I’m gutted is an understatement. It is my life’s work — and it looks like it’s going into a skip. I admit there were tears,” Alleyne told The Sun.
His ex-wife has paid the mortgage since their 1994 divorce and says she wants to sell the flat “as a conventional property.”
