Star Wars Slot Car Track of the Day: Scalextric has announced it will release two officially-licensed Star Wars slot car sets sometime later this year.
One set pits Luke’s X-Wing against Vader’s TIE Advanced x1 on a 1/64-scale, glow-in-the-dark Death Star trench track.
The other is a 1/32-scale Battle of Endor, the way the Empire wishes it had happened — with speeder bikes racing each other through the woods instead of getting wrecked by Ewok traps.
Say what you will about the prequels, but if Scalextric doesn’t add a Phantom Menace podrace track to their lineup, they’ll just be leaving money on the table.
