Star Trek TV Series Rumors of the Day

Star Trek TV Series Rumors of the Day

Star Trek TV Series Rumors of the Day: Star Trek may be returning to TV for a new series, if the directing team of Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer get their way.

The two Bryans are currently working together on a TV revival of The Munsters, and they’ve apparently decided that they could make a great Trek series together.

Ain’t It Cool News reports:

Fuller tells AICN exclusively that the two Bryans, who have long (but separately) contemplated new Star Trek TV series, have discussed the possibility of pooling their resources to take a new corner of Gene Roddenberry’s multiverse to the small screen. Hopefully J.J. Abrams and Les Moonves will give them the keys to Starfleet HQ.

Both of the Bryans have a bit of Star Trek on their resumés. Fuller has written episodes of both Deep Space Nine and Voyager, and Singer has a cameo in Star Trek: Nemesis (above).

Whether the two will actually get the rights to the show (or have time to do it) remains to be seen, especially since Singer already got fans excited about his movie version of another well-known sci-fi franchise and hasn’t yet delivered.
