Beetlejuice Sequel News of the Day: Michael Keaton wants to reprise his role as the ghost with the most in Tim Burton and Seth Grahame-Smith’s sequel to Beetlejuice, Grahame-Smith told Shock Till You Drop.
When asked about Keaton’s excitement level for the project, the writer said, “Huge. He’s been wanting to do it for 20 years and he’ll talk to anybody about it who will listen. I really told him, I have a huge reverence for Tim and a huge reverence for that film in general. I don’t think we should do it if we sh*t on the legacy. He agrees.”
Grahame-Smith said Beetlejuice is “a priority” for both Tim Burton and Warner Bros., and he already has a couple of story ideas in the works.
Last month, Burton said he felt Keaton would “strangely tap right back into” the role.
