Lego Lord of the Rings Preview of the Day: We’ve already seen promotional images of Lego’s Lord of the Rings minifigs, but now some of the full sets have made their debut.
The LoTR Lego sets — including the Mines of Moria, the Battle of Helm’s Deep, the Orc Forge, the Attack on Weathertop and the Uruk-hai Army — were unveiled over the weekend at a preview party at the International Toy Fair in New York City.
The sets include a few firsts for Lego: Shelob the giant spider is the first spider Lego with a web function, and the LoTR sets introduce Lego’s first articulated horses. Also, the cave troll might not be the biggest Lego figure ever released, but it’s impressively huge.
Lord of the Rings Lego sets are due in stores this June, with The Hobbit sets to follow in November or December.
More pics after the jump.
