Love In An MRI Machine of the Day: Famously quirky publisher McSweeney’s teamed up with the Stanford MRI lab for a “love competition,” where participants each had five minutes inside an MRI machine to “love someone as hard as they can,” and the winner was determined based on brain scan results.
Aside from being unbearably cute, the competition is also an interesting look at the regions of the brain that create the neurochemical phenomenon of love.
The video appears in issue #15 of Wholphin, McSweeney’s quarterly DVD collection of short films.
