After Earth Set Photos of the Day

After Earth Set Photos of the Day

After Earth Set Photos of the Day: A new photo from the Costa Rica set of M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth shows Jaden Smith in costume as a kid from a thousand years in the future who crash-lands on an abandoned Earth with his dad.

Jaden’s movie dad also happens to be his real-life dad, Will Smith, who was also photographed on set.

Unfortunately, Will was just hanging out by the pool in his street clothes, so we’ll have to base all our assumptions about the fashion trends of future space travelers on Jaden’s outfit.

After Earth also stars Zoe Kravitz, and was written by Stephen Gaghan (Traffic) and Gary Whitta (The Book of Eli). It opens June 7, 2013.

More pics after the jump.

Quentin Tarantino Movie News of the Day

May. 7, 2011

Quentin Tarantino Movie News of the Day

Quentin Tarantino Movie News of the Day: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will Smith has been named as a front runner for Quentin Tarantino’s new film, Django Unchained, a Spaghetti Western about a slave in the Old South who joins up with a German bounty hunter to find and reunite with his wife.

Tarantino regular Samuel L. Jackson and Golden Globe winner Christoph Waltz are also emerging as possibilities for the role of the evil plantation owner’s manipulative house slave and the German bounty hunter, respectively.

No official offer has been made to Smith, but insiders say Tarantino is keen on having the high paid star take the role.

What Should Have Been of the Day

Apr. 19, 2011

What Should Have Been of the Day: Steve Johnson, makeup artist for tons of notable horror flicks, released this video of the original concept for the “Infected” in I Am Legend.

Apparently, director Francis Lawrence wasn’t getting the performance he wanted from the extras donning the vampiric masks and opted for CGI instead. For shame.
